About us
A studio within The Unusual Pelicans ↗. We work on real, existing problems — with cleverness rather than scale, and with users rather than for them.
A small group. We work nights and weekends, mostly remote, mostly asynchronously. We come from different backgrounds and met through the Pelicans.
We are not hiring. We are looking for collaborators — people with a problem they want solved, or a method we do not have yet. If that sounds like you, write to us.
Principles

We are not optimising for profit.
The problems we pick are ones that already exist and hurt real people — not problems invented to justify a product. If a clever solution already exists, we point to it. If it doesn't, we build it.

We develop with users, not at them.
The people using our tools shape what they become. We share what we're working on early, listen to what breaks, and change direction when we're wrong.

We make tools, not platforms.
Each tool does one thing well and stops. We are not trying to capture markets, lock in users, or aggregate attention. When a user outgrows what we built, we point them somewhere better — and that is the right ending.
